Stage 1: Play on Crushing Difficulty and Collect all Treasures

Your first step is going to be to play through the game once on Crushing difficulty. You will unlock all of the Charted! trophies in this step, and will probably unlock many of the miscellaneous and kill-related trophies along the way as well, though any that you miss can be cleaned up later via chapter select.

You should also collect all treasures during this playthrough to save yourself some time later, although you can also clean those up using chapter select after finishing, if there are parts where you find it too difficult to kill all of the enemies and get to the treasures.

See Charted! - Crushing and Master Thief Collection for more details.

Stage 2: Speed Run Trophies

MPORTANT NOTE: Any time you start a new game - for a new difficulty level, clean-up or a speed run - make sure you create a new save file instead of overwriting your old one. Overwriting will lock out your ability to use chapter select until you have beaten the entire game again on the new file, even if you chose to carry over your treasures and bonuses from the original file.

Now it's time for one of the new modes in this remastered collection: Speed Run.

You have two options here. If you only care about the platinum, you can use chapter select for the three chapters required for these trophies and pick the "Practice Speed Run" option. However, it makes more sense to do this as part of a continuous speed run using the Doughnut Drake skin if you're working toward 100% completion.

In the latter case, check out the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Extended Collection DLC Trophy Guide for more information, and complete the Continuous Speed Run before moving on to step 3 below to save yourself some time.

Beat 'Chapter 5 - The Fortress' in less than 10 minutes

Beat 'Chapter 12 - Heading Upriver' in less than 5 minutes

Beat 'Chapter 16 - The Treasure Vault' in less than 7 minutes

Stage 3: Clean-up via Chapter Select

In this step, you'll use chapter select to go back and get any treasures you may have missed, farm any of the kill/gun-related trophies you still need and knock out those pesky streak trophies.

At the end of this step, you should have your shiny new platinum trophy.

250 Headshots
Defeat 250 Enemies with Headshots
35.86%
Silver

As with any shooting game, headshots are critically important because they help you conserve ammunition and dispatch enemies more quickly. If you're actively trying to get headshots (which you should be, if you're playing on Crushing), you should finish this off well before the end of the game. Any kills you get during multiple attempts at a section will all count toward this total.

If you do not finish this before the end of your first playthrough for whatever reason, load up Chapter 4 on easy and either keep playing through from that point or find a good checkpoint to keep restarting and farm it.

Headshot Expert
Kill 5 Enemies in a Row with Headshots
73.33%
Silver

This trophy will pop the first time you manage to string together 5 straight headshots.

Silver

As noted above, you should be trying to get as many headshots as possible anyway, and so it's quite possible that you'll earn this trophy without going out of your way to try for it, but if not, you can load up Chapter 1 on easy and do it there, or work on it while farming as noted above for 250 Headshots. Keep in mind, though, that you can't restart a checkpoint in the middle of this streak or the count will reset.

You will unlock this trophy after having defeated 5 enemies with the Brutal Combo. See Brutal Slugger below for more details.

Brutal Slugger
Kill 20 Enemies with Brutal Combo
25.12%
Bronze

The Brutal Combo is a melee attack that will knock out any non-armored enemies and cause them to drop double the normal amount of ammo. You perform it by hitting with the correct timing, each button coming just after the punch from the previous one lands. You'll get a tutorial on this in Chapter 1 and you are prompted to do it again in Chapter 3, so you should have no problem figuring out how to do it.

Silver

Repeat the process 20 times, and this trophy is yours. You can farm this at any checkpoint in the game, but you will probably get it naturally, between normal play time and your attempts at Brutal Expert.

Brutal Expert
Kill 5 Enemies in a Row with Brutal Combo

Silver

Bronze

See Brutal Slugger above for information on the Brutal Combo.

To earn this trophy, you'll need to perform this combo on 5 enemies in a row without dying or restarting a checkpoint. The best place to do it is on the boat in Chapter 1. There are more than 5 enemies and they're spaced out enough that you don't really need to worry about others getting in the way or killing you - especially if you're playing on Easy.

Triple Dyno-Might!
Kill 3 Enemies with 1 Explosion
40.51%
Bronze

Although this trophy is pretty self-explanatory, there are very few opportunities to earn it during normal gameplay. Your best option is likely going to be to work on this in the location shown below, which is in Chapter 4.

4b0cec.jpg

af9dce.jpg

Hurry up onto the ledge where the grenade launcher guy was as soon as you've cleared out the wave of enemies surround it, take cover and pick up the M79. You'll see several enemies coming down off of the ledge in the distance, but you want to wait for a couple of seconds until they're all down from the ledge, then fire the grenade in between the trees and hope you get three at once. If not, restart the checkpoint and try again.

Silver

For more reference on the location, this is immediately after the farming spot shown below for Master Ninja.

Hangman
Kill 20 Enemies with Gunfire While Hanging
18.95%
Bronze

There are lots of chances througout the game to hang from ledges, and while doing so, you can aim and fire your pistol. Use this technique to kill 20 enemies and you will unlock this trophy.

While it's quite possible that you will earn this through normal gameplay, if you need or want to farm it you can do so at the spot shown below, which is in Chapter 4.

Grenade Hangman

Bronze

Another option at your disposal while hanging from ledges is to throw a grenade by using . Unlocking this trophy will require you do kill 10 enemies in this manner, and this is one that you are not likely to get through normal gameplay. Use the same area shown for Hangman above to farm this. Toss whatever grenades you have at the enemies inside the door and then restart the checkpoint and do it again until you hit 10.

Run-and-Gunner
Kill 20 Enemies by Shooting from the Hip (without aiming)
37.91%
Bronze

Just as you might imagine, shooting from the hip involves running around and pushing without first pushing to aim. This can be a very effective tactic if you get rushed by an enemy, and is pretty much the only way to defeat certain enemies towards the end of the game, so you will get this one in your sleep, and will probably end up with a few hundred of these kills before all is said and done.

Steel Fist
Kill 5 Enemies with a Single Punch After Weakening Them with Gunfire
20.81%
Bronze

The "Steel Fist" technique involves shooting an enemy to weaken them to the point that you can finish them off with a single punch. In actuality, one shot from any weapon is enough to sufficiently soften any non-armored enemy that they can be steel fisted, and you'll probably get this one naturally, but if not (or if you just want to get it out of the way quickly), you can easily farm this in the boat on Chapter 1.

Steel Fist Expert
Kill 10 Enemies in a Row with a Single Punch After Weakening Them with Gunfire
15.72%
Bronze

Bronze

See Steel Fist above for details on how to perform this action. For this trophy, though, you need to take it to another level and complete the steel fist technique on 10 straight enemies, without dying or restarting a checkpoint.

This can be a little tricky, but all you need is an area with at least 10 enemies that are fairly spread out - if you run around trying to steel fist people in a crowd, you can die quickly, even on easy. Additionally, it becomes harder to make sure you do it correctly with so many people around.

A good place to work on this is in Chapter 3, after you meet back up with Elena and start working back through the caverns. The problem with this spot is that if you mess up in the middle you will have hit a checkpoint and lost your ability to go back to the beginning of the string, and this is quite a ways from the beginning of the chapter. For this reason, you may find it easier to load up Chapter 4 and do it there. Some of these areas are crowded, but if you work quickly on Easy you should be able to do it.

Master Ninja
Kill 50 Enemies by Melee-Attacking from Behind
16.06%
Silver

This trophy is one that is completely disproportional to the game itself, in that there are very few places where you can effectively use stealth. For that reason, you'll probably end up having to farm this one as well, and it's another one that has a perfect spot in Chapter 4.

Right after the section with the wrecked plane, you'll do a little bit of climbing and then come upon a guy who is walking away from you (see screenshot below). Walk up behind him and hit when you're still a bit away to perform a stealth kill. After he's dead, restart the checkpoint, rinse & repeat.

Note: The guy just beyond this first one can be silently killed from behind as well, but for some reason the game does not count it as a stealth kill, so it does you no good for this trophy.

8a6fad.jpg

Survivor
Kill 75 Enemies in a Row Without Dying
25.00%
Silver

It's quite possible that you'll get this trophy when you're working through a Speed Run, or at some other point while you're playing, but it's more likely that you'll die while climbing or in some other inane way even while playing on Easy.

If you find yourself finished with everything else you're doing in this game and still needing this trophy, load up Chapter 5, and just take it slow and steady. There's no danger of dying in a climbing section (at least not after you start killing enemies), and there are plenty of enemies to kill. If you go from the beginning of Chapter 5 and continue killing enemies without dying, you'll unlock this trophy in Chapter 6.

As with the other streak-based trophies, you cannot earn this by restarting an easy checkpoint.

30 Kills: Mk-NDI
Kill 30 Enemies with Mk-NDI Grenades
30.15%
Bronze

This is the first of many weapon-related trophies, and with a couple of exceptions you should earn most of them normally during your first playthrough. The weapons are evenly spaced throughout the game, and you have more than enough opportunity with each to get the required number of kills, especially if you pay attention and put a little effort into it.

For the couple of weapons that don't give you ample opportunity and/or for any that you just happened to miss while playing, load up Chapter 17 on easy and just keep killing without getting on the rope - the enemies will respawn infinitely until you get on it, and you can use your weapon unlock bonuses to keep choosing weapons you need to use. The Dragon Sniper and M79 might be weapons that you wouldn't want to farm on this chapter, so if you still need those, try Chapter 4 or any other spot with lots of enemies.

Note: If you're going for 100%, you might as well wait until after all of your playthroughs and other cleanup is finished before worrying about any of these trophies.

This is the most straightforward of the three speed run trophies required for platinum. Simply climb and kill as fast as possible to get to the end. Be agressive, and remember to restart the checkpoint if you take a wrong turn, die, or just feel like you're taking too long in general. Follow those instructions and you should have no trouble coming in under 10 minutes, but if you are struggling, here is a video tutorial:

This is the easiest of all of the speed run trophies in this game, since you don't even need to shoot any enemies during the first 2/3 of the level if you're playing on easy. Just hold down or to keep moving forward, and tap constantly so that Elena will blind fire the barrels. When you get to the last section where the grenade launcher dudes are, stop and kill everyone before moving on.

Again, restart checkpoints as required, and you can finish this level in far less than 5 minutes. Here's some video evidence:

Note: If you're going for 100% completion in this game, then you may just want to wait to earn this trophy as part of your run at Need for Speed . Otherwise, load up Chapter 16 via chapter select and choose the "Practice Speed Run" option.

This is probably the most complicated of the three speed run trophies, and gives you the least amount of wiggle room, but it is still easy to finish in time as long as you know where you're going. If you need to practice the level to learn the path you can, but it's really as simple as following the arrows on the path anywhere you see II, V or VII. There's a short combat section that you have to complete toward the end of the chapter, but since you'll be playing on easy you'll have no problems with that as long as you're aggressive, and again, always restart checkpoints if you feel like you've wasted any time. Once you get up the ladder that you have to lower, ignore the rest of the enemies and run to the end.

Check out the video below if you're having trouble:
